Kevin is a seasoned litigator representing public and private clients in all phases of complex civil litigation. His practice spans a wide array of legal matters, including real estate and construction disputes, land use and zoning, commercial litigation, municipal and regulatory issues, and fiduciary litigation involving contested wills, trusts, and estate administration.
Kevin provides strategic counsel to private clients in high-stakes business disputes involving contracts, real estate transactions, and business torts. He also represents municipalities and private parties in land use and permitting conflicts, and regularly handles trust and estate litigation, including will contests and fiduciary disputes.
He has served as lead counsel in a wide range of matters before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Appeals Court, Appellate Tax Board, Superior Court, Land Court, Probate and Family Court, and various District Courts. Kevin’s experience spans cases involving civil rights, zoning and land use, construction, commercial leases, insurance coverage, labor and employment, wage and hour claims, and disputes with state and local government agencies.
In addition to his litigation practice, Kevin has significant experience and expertise in municipal law. Specifically, he has advised cities and towns, school committees, education collaboratives, and housing authorities on a broad spectrum of legal issues, including public records and open meeting law, town meeting procedures, municipal finance, conflict of interest, land use, eminent domain, affordable housing, environmental and conservation law, procurement, labor and employment, special education, and election law. He has also negotiated collective bargaining agreements on behalf of municipal entities.
Kevin began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney with the Norfolk County Motor Vehicle Homicide Team where he handled a broad range of criminal matters.
