Overview

Alex joined the firm as an associate in 2020. A talented legal professional, he focuses his practice on commercial and residential real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financings, development, operations, maintenance and leasing. Alex has negotiated numerous complex multi-million-dollar real estate transactions. His experience includes leading due diligence efforts, handling contract drafting and negotiations, resolving complex title issues and successfully settling numerous contentious contract claims. Experienced in high-level contract negotiations and dispute resolution strategies, Alex has negotiated and managed the settlement of multi-million-dollar claims, avoiding litigation expenses.

Alex previously practiced at a boutique Boston law firm specializing in commercial and residential real estate. He has served as General Counsel to The Mount Vernon Company, Inc., a privately held holding company for the investment, development and operation of residential and commercial real estate, and worked as legal counsel for the Kraft Group LLC, a privately held holding company for the New England Patriots, the New England Revolution, Gillette Stadium, Patriot Place, Rand-Whitney Companies and International Forest Products, where he handled real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financings, leasing, and operations and maintenance contract drafting and negotiations.

A resident of Marlborough, Alex is fluent in Modern Greek and enjoys coaching his daughters’ youth sports teams.

Experience

  • Closed simultaneous disposition of four commercial industrial facilities worth $15M in three different states while resolving environmental and title issues.
  • Successfully represented lender in closing of $50M financing of five out-of-state industrial facilities on an expedited closing timeline with a year-end deadline.
  • Negotiated large scale, multi-property, multi-business lease of commercial retail space in high-profile mixed-use development with $14M tenant improvement allowance.
  • Closed simultaneous acquisition of two commercial manufacturing facilities worth $20M in two different states while resolving unique title and survey issues.
  • Negotiated settlements of contentious six-figure contractual relationships avoiding litigation expenses.
  • Developed and implemented comprehensive due diligence strategy as precursor to development of 1.3 million square-foot facility.
  • Closed challenging acquisitions and leases by applying relationship building skills with legal expertise.
