Jon Friedmann to Present at Social Law Library’s Fall 2022 Civil Litigation CLE Series: Starting Your Practice—What You Need to Know!

Jon Friedmann will present at the Social Law Library’s three-part webinar series “Starting Your Practice—What You Need to Know!” this fall.

The first session “Getting Started” will be held on October 6 and will focus on IOLTA accounts, practice management systems, calendar system, billing, document management solutions, website/social media presence, cloud systems, and malpractice insurance. Jon will be joined by a panel of speakers that includes Laura Keeler, LOMAP, Law Practice Advisor and David Kluft, Board of Bar Overseers, Assistant Bar Counsel.

The second session “Working with Your Client” will be held on November 3. Jon will cover topics including interviewing clients and the attorney-client relationship, fee agreements, conflict checks, client entity structure, opposing party structure, special research, relief requested—general, preliminary relief, jurisdiction, venue and jury and non-jury trials.

The third session, “Discovery,” will be held on December 1. Jon will be joined by panelists Laura Keeler, LOMAP Law Practice Advisor; Deb Curran, Director of Business Development & Senior Account Executive, O’Brien and Levine; and Adam Valachovic, HaystackID. The discussion will focus on summary judgment and partial summary judgments, costs, effectiveness, special treatment in the business litigation session, courtroom technology during trials, exhibits and binders.
